WELCOME

Patroni Legal Press is a new legal publishing venture, focused on cross-border litigation practices. We aim to facilitate dialogue and exchanges between attorneys from diverse legal communities around the world.

The name captures that concept. Patroni is derived from Roman legal culture, tied to the concept of patronage, a protocter and supporter. The concept is inherently relational, evolving into patroni causaru (patrons of cases) who would advocate for others. This is the precursor to what we know today as civil litigation.  A patron used rhetoric and advocacy skills to advance an objective by lending their intellect and support.

In much the same way, Patroni Legal Press is about a supportive relationship among legal thinkers and practitioners, reaching across national borders, as we assess and grapple with challenging legal issues, particularly related to litigation.

The first publication released in the Spring of 2025, with more titles to follow.
